PETALING JAYA: A day after arresting a Tan Sri in Johor over suspected fraud, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) has also nabbed his son.
The 31-year-old, who was detained earlier in relation to the case, will appear with his father at the Putrajaya Courts at 9am for remand, The Star reported today.
According to the daily, he was arrested in Johor Baru. The report said initial investigations showed that he is also involved in the case.
Yesterday, MACC arrested the man’s father, a 63-year-old businessman and retired politician. The anti-graft body also arrested four officers from the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID).
The Star said the Tan Sri is alleged to have submitted to the DID fraudulent claims related to the supply of geotubes for river restoration works performed via dredging and excavation.
